This is an image I made while learning about vector art.
This is my first attempt at dynamic composition and color scheme, being an IST major, these design elements will help in my future career.
Just a quick little something put together to introduce visual arts and how technology can help different types of art styles be shown. Some people struggle to draw while others excel at it, but art is still art. This is just my quick little dynamic composition.
This painting is based off of another more complex painting by some artist who was known to paint things. What I drew is a much more optimistic portrayal of the man shown in the original painting, as I have never been much for depressing paintings. No disrespect, but the guy in the original painting looked sort of like he had just realized that the Hershey bar he was eating was made out of cow crap, and he was now completely rethinking his life because of it. Although my version is simple, I think it’s sort of nice in a (I created this in 5 minutes) kind of way. Please enjoy.
In this project I used colors that stand out the most to me. I used the colors that are somewhat similarly related to the original painting.
For project 1 in Art201 we simplified the famous image of Egon Schiele”s painting, “The Poet,” using basic Adobe Illustrator tools.
This project itself is not difficult of course; however through this project I found out that surprisingly it is not that easy to control simple shapes. Also it is important to abstract “key parts” from a complicated object.
