This is my Thirteen Ways to Look at a Blackbird project. This project was surprisingly hard for me. I’ve worked with illustrator before and did a typography project back in high school, so I though it would’ve been easy. I thought wrong it was difficult. Even though I knew that I didn’t have to keep everything in a single box, that’s what I wanted to do. I wanted to show how even staying inside of the “box” you can still have an interaction with others with fluid motion while still relaying the meaning of whatever you are working on. In this case the poem.
This is my interpretation of a Wallace Stevens’s poem “Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird”. It was a difficult project for me because I had never worked with letters in such a way before.
After I had read the poem for the first time, I did not really like it. But after I had spent a little more time trying to understand its rhythm and its mood, I found it quite special and beautiful. . I believe that everyone has his/her own interpretation of the poem. In this project I tried to pass my vision of the poem.
This project was created from the poem, “Thirteen ways of looking at a blackbird” by Wallace Stevens. The objective of this project was to create a visual interpretation of the poem only using letter type forms. Ending with results of images in what I found to be most important to highlight: hope, beauty, family, growth, life, separation, coldness and much more.
This is my project on 13 ways to look at a blackbird. In this project we had to utilize the tools of Adobe Illustrator and only use letter to create a picture and tell a story. In this project we had to do a lot of editing of letters, get knowledge on different font, learn to group, ungroup, create outlines, and divide letter forms, and much more.

ART 201 Keywork: Ecology
By B. Lucas
When thinking of Ecology, we normally think of the earth and its ability to sustain our lives. But, because of pollution the earths ecology is suffering. This keynote presentation highlights the life beauty of our earth and what it has come to be.
This is my rrDNA search project for my Art 201 class. In this project we were given a keyword and were instructed to create a video with Keynote. My overall stance on the project was pretty straightforward in that Health is a really broad topic. I learned new thinks in this topic as well as improved my use of presentation applications.
After randomly selecting the key word “economics”, I was clueless of what to do. I looked up the definition of economics and it has to do with knowledge, wealth, & productivity. I believe that in today’s politics and debates all people are talking about is the economics of this country. I do not understand it or what most candidates are trying to say about it. I am only understanding that the economy is not super great. I am an art major and not very interested in political stuff like that, therefore I made this video, showing a few images of what I believe economics is all about. I see economics as society being mind controlled into spending large amounts of money by higher figures in the world, then once all their wealth is gone a lot of people are broke and poor, which leads to no knowledge and homeless
